Innovative Radiology is proud to offer QT Imaging. This is a revolutionary, radiation and compression-free breast imaging technology that uses sound waves, or ultrasound, to create detailed 3D images of the breast. QT Imaging is a supplemental breast screening ideal for dense breasts and implants. This is an innovative imaging method that provides both structural and quantitative data about reast tissue, making it a powerful tool for early breast cancer detection and monitoring. We were the first radiology imaging center in the country and the first and only current facility in Iowa to offer QTI whole breast ultrasound.

Preparing for a QTI

Wear a two-piece outfit; You'll be asked to remove your top and bra, so wearing a two-piece outfit makes it easier to undress from the waste up.
Avoid lotions, powders, or deodrants. These can interfere with image clarity.
Eat and drink normally.
Prior breast imaging? If you have had prior breast imaging, such as a mammogram, ultrasound, or breast MRI, please inform our staff. With your consent, we will request these records on your behalf.

What happens during a QTI?

The scan takes about 10-15 minutes per breast.
You will lie face down on a comfortable examination table.
Each breast is scanned individually using a warm water medium to improve image clarity.
The experience is painless, quick, and gentle

Results

After your QT Breast Ultrasound scan is complete, your images will be carefully reviewed by a board-certified radiologist.

These experts are trained to detect even subtle changes in breast tissue and use the detailed, 3D data provided by the QT scan to ensure the most accurate and reliable results possible.
