Dr. John Tentinger is the President/CEO and Radiologist at Innovative Radiology. He earned his medical degree from The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City. He completed his internship in internal medicine and residency training in diagnostic radiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Through his privately-owned radiology physician group, Advanced Medical Imaging, Dr. Tentinger is the Radiology Section Chief at Broadlawns Medical Center (2003-present). Dr. Tentinger also serves as director of radiology at Pella Regional Medical Center, Wayne County Hospital, and Compass Memorial Hospital.
In October 2018, Dr. Tentinger established Innovative Radiology, LLC and became part owner of an existing MRI imaging center in West Des Moines, Alliance Healthcare Radiology. In May 2024, Innovative Radiology assumed full ownership of the West Des Moines imaging center, and the site underwent a transformative remodel and expansion to incorporate the most advanced imaging technology available in MRI, CT, ultrasound, C-arm fluoroscopy, DEXA, mammography, stereotactic biopsy, QT Imaging, and x-ray. In addition to traditional medical imaging, Innovative Radiology offers whole-body wellness screenings.
Concurrently, Dr. Tentinger is developing a 25.3-acre medical campus, Total Health Experience, in Urbandale. Construction of the medical campus commenced in the summer of 2024 with an anticipated opening date for Total Health Experience in 2028. The Total Health Experience medical campus will serve as a future flagship location for Innovative Radiology. This state-of-the-art campus will be a multi-disciplinary regional diagnostic hub. It will bring together advanced imaging, specialized expertise, and coordinated care to improve speed, accuracy, and the patient experience.
