Trish Steenhoek, BS, R.T.(R)(M) BHCN

Trish was born and raised in central Iowa, graduating from Lincoln High School on the south side of Des Moines. She started her college journey at Simpson College, where she studied Athletic Training, before transferring to Mercy College of Health Sciences to earn her associate’s degree in radiologic technology. In June 2005, she launched her career in mammography and quickly developed a passion for women’s breast health, becoming a certified navigator in breast imaging (CN-BI). In August 2024, she achieved another milestone by obtaining her Breast Health Certified Navigator (BHCN) certification. At the same time, she was working toward her bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, graduating from Purdue University Global in October 2024. Trish has always been a dedicated patient advocate, ensuring they have immediate access to appointments and diagnoses while helping them navigate the challenges often encountered in healthcare. Fun fact: Trish is a busy mom of three boys and loves animals. She maintains a small hobby farm that includes dogs, cats, goats, and chickens. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, camping, reading, and spending quality time outdoors with her family. She thrives at IR due to the wonderful staff and the exciting vision to provide exceptional, top-quality care to patients in central Iowa.
