Melissa "Missie" Purdy

Patient Relations Specialist

Missie was born and raised in Eastern Iowa, graduating from La Porte City High School. She went on to attend Hawkeye Institute of Technology in the Medical Secretary program, graduating in 1992. She then spent several years working in both hospital settings and clinical offices. She is the proud mother of three amazing boys. While raising them, Missie lived on the family farm, where they raised livestock and farmed grain. She believes this experience helped instill a strong work ethic in both herself and her children. One of her favorite things is being in a tractor, tilling the land in preparation for planting and enjoying the fresh smell of the soil. One of Missie’s roles outside the medical field was working as a locksmith for seven years, which she found especially interesting. The most unique item she ever made a key for was an old ATM machine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boys and her granddaughter, Saylor, who is two years old and full of life. She also loves growing sunflowers in all colors. Missie loves working at Innovative Radiology and describes it as a second family. She values how much the team truly cares about each patient and appreciates the strong sense of teamwork. She feels grateful to be part of such a supportive and dedicated group.
