Kala Christopherson BS, R.T.(R)(MR)(CT)

Lead Registered Technologist

Kala grew up in Madrid, Iowa. She graduated from Mercy College of Health Sciences in 2006 with an Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology. Kala worked for six months as an x-ray tech before cross training into CT. After three years in CT, she cross trained into MRI and became certified in both modalities. Kala has always worked in a clinic setting. In 2022, she then completed her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Mercy College of Health Sciences. For the last eight years of her career, she has been a supervisor of MRI, CT, Nuc Med/PET, and most recently, the Radiology Manager for McFarland Clinic in Marshalltown. Outside of work Kala enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, Lilli, and their four-legged son, Norman on their farm south of Ames. They enjoy traveling anywhere that has a beach and to Texas to visit family. Kala is so excited to be at Innovative! Dr. T, Yvonne, and the rest of the staff are amazing to work with, and she is so happy to be on this journey with them all!
