Joy Kellerman RN

Registered Nurse

Joy grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from College of Saint Mary. She began her career at Nebraska Medical Center, the VA and doing Home Care, gaining valuable experience working in a variety of roles and caring for patients across different settings Over 20 years ago, Joy made the move to West Des Moines. During that time, she stepped away from her nursing career to focus on raising her two daughters, an experience she values deeply and considers one of the most meaningful chapters of her life. She later returned to nursing with a renewed perspective and continued passion for caring for others. Joy is known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach and her ability to make others feel comfortable and supported throughout their experience. Joy is proud to be part of the team at Innovative Radiology, where she works alongside incredible physicians and staff who share a commitment to providing high-quality care and making patients the top priority. Outside of work, Joy enjoys cooking, gardening, playing pickleball, traveling, and spending time with her husband of 25 years, their two daughters, and family and friends. Lately, she’s also been embracing a few new hobbies—learning Mahjong, bird watching, and, as she jokes, “leaning into all the old lady things” (which she fully owns and loves). Fun fact: After growing up a loyal Nebraska Cornhusker fan, Joy has fully embraced life in Iowa—making the official (and sometimes debated!) switch to cheering for the Hawkeyes.
